Public Art

Burlington has an active and steadily growing Public Art Program.  An exploration through Burlington’s parks and streets will reveal sculptures, installations and day-to-day objects such as benches and bike racks that have been made into works of art! The mission of the Public Art Program is to enhance the quality of life in Burlington through the rich context of the arts and it strives to bring artwork by local, Canadian and International artists throughout the city.   The Burlington Mural Project is designed to tell local stories using local artists, and this annual program commissions small to medium-scale murals throughout the city. See the list of public art sites in Burlington including the recent mural projects and take the self-guided Art in the City public art tour.
