With physical distancing regulations in place, golf is the perfect sport to enjoy while keeping yourself and the community safe. With great golfing weather and superb scenery, the Burlington area has plenty to offer golf enthusiasts in addition to some spectacular golf courses. Every golf course has different practices in place, so keep reading for information on the different courses open and how to enjoy a game of golf in #BurlON.

Burlington Springs Golf and Country Club

Burlington Springs Golf and Country Club is now open. To book tee time, check here for contact information. Entrance to the property is only permitted with a confirmed tee time. Carts are available for use of one rider/one family, pull carts are available. Please note that all rakes, benches, beverage carts, ball washers & portable washrooms have been removed.

What makes your golf course unique compared to others in the area?

Exceptional value and in very good shape.
What is your most challenging hole and why?
Hole #2, tough par 5 with a very tough decision on the 2nd shot, if you hit a long tee shot. Do I lay up or try and go over the water?
What famous people have played your course?
Barb Bunkowsky, Mickey Rooney, Kenny Knox, Ben Zambiasi, Harry Howell, Marcel Dionne. Norm Marshall was a member here for years.
Is there something about your course that is a little known or out of the ordinary?
In 2014 we planted 25,000 trees, with the help of Conservation Halton.

Crosswinds Golf and Country Club

As of Thursday, May 21 the Crosswinds Golf & Country Club is open. Tee time reservations are required prior to arrival, for more information visit their website. Power carts are available to single riders/households. On course washrooms are closed, visit their website for more information

What makes your golf course unique compared to others in the area?

We offer the ‘Crosswinds Experience’—combining the best in service, scenery, course conditions. It’s an overall experience where customers come to Crosswinds and just ‘feel good’. No other golf course in Burlington offers public golf at such a high level of customer experience.
What is your most challenging hole and why?
Hole #6—tight fairway, a lot of lengths and an elevated green surrounded by hazards.
What famous people have played your course?
Samuel L. Jackson, the Toronto Raptors, Mike Babcock (coach of Toronto Maple Leafs), Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark, Johnny Bower, Marcel Dionne, Bobby Hull, Kurt Browning, Hal Johnson and Joanne McCloud (ParticipAction)
Is there something about your course that is a little known or out of the ordinary?
It is spread out on 200 acres for 18-holes–that is a lot land!

Hidden Lake Golf Club

Hidden Lake Golf Club is open with restrictions. The Golf Shop and washrooms are open with physical distancing practices. What makes your golf course unique compared to others in the area?

Hidden Lake Golf Club is a bit different due to the two unique golf courses.
What is your most challenging hole and why?
Hole Number #7 New Course – This extremely long Par 5 dog leg right totals 588 yards from the back tees. Almost impossible to reach in two shots, and can be extremely difficult in the high winds.
What famous people have played your course?
Mark Wahlberg, Alice Cooper, Doug Gilmour, Tie Domi, Tom Cochrane, Charles Oakley, Gary Player, Dave Thomas
Is there something about your course that is a little known or out of the ordinary?
Hidden Lake Golf Club previously held the qualifier for the Canadian Open on the Monday for many years. The low score would be put directly into the Canadian Open.

Indian Wells Golf Club

Indian Wells Golf Club is open with online booking available. If you book online you get a discounted tee time! Only those with tee times are allowed on the course. The club recommends using your own sanitization products and masks if it makes you feel more comfortable, but they are not necessary. For more information on guidelines, check here.

What makes your golf course unique compared to others in the area?

What makes our course unique compared to others is the unparalleled view of the Niagara Escarpment combined with a fantastic course design throughout a beautiful natural setting.
What is your most challenging hole and why?
Our most challenging hole and the course’s signature hole is number 16.  Although it is a relatively short par four measuring 325 yards, it demands two precise shots to reach a small undulating green.  Your initial tee shot is made from an elevated tee to a narrow tree lined fairway.  From there, the hole dog legs left to an elevated green.
What famous people have played your course?
Some famous people that have played our course include Roger Clemens and Joe Carter.
Is there something about your course that is a little known or out of the ordinary?
Indian Wells was originally owned by NHL players Vic Hadfield, Andy Bathgate and Harry Howell.  It was designed by distinguished designer Rene Muylaert.

Lowville Golf Club

Lowville Golf Course is open to those with tee time reservations. Bookings are available online or by phone. Power carts are available for single rider/household use. Washrooms are available in the Clubhouse only. For more of Lowville’s safety measures visit their website.

Millcroft Golf Club

What makes your golf course unique compared to others in the area?

Our 18 hole golf course has no parallel fairways due to our unique figure-eight layout creatively winding its way through the Millcroft community.
What is your most challenging hole and why?
Hole #16 – A narrow tee shot leads you down the hole towards a creek intersecting the fairway, only to dog leg you to the right to reach the green while shooting over a pond. A great challenge!
What famous people have played your course?
Ryan Gosling (Actor), Cito Gaston (former Manager of the Blue Jays) and Russ Jackson (former CFL player)
Is there something about your course that is a little known or out of the ordinary?
Our uniquely laid out 18 hole course was designed by Thomas McBroom and all of our holes wind their way throughout the housing community of Millcroft. We are semi-private, selling both memberships and public green fees.

Tyandaga Golf Club

Tyandaga Golf Course is opening May 23 with safety precautions in place. The Clubhouse lobby and dining room will remain closed, food and beverage will be offered through a takeout window, and other restrictions. Please visit their website for more information. Hole #17 because of narrow fairways from tee to green.

FarAway Greens is closed until further notice.

Wedgewood Golf Centre

Wedgewood Golf Centre is open with physical distancing measures in place. The practice chipping and putting green will be closed, check here for more guidelines.

Within Range

Within Range is open with physical distancing guidelines for the safety of their visitors, including changes such as.  the removal of sitting areas in the clubhouse. For more information, visit their website.
