About Tourism Burlington

30th anniversaryIn 2015 we celebrated!

In 2015 Tourism Burlington celebrated two special anniversaries!  In 1970 (45 years ago) a visitor centre was first established in Burlington along the waterfront at Spencer Smith Park operated by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce.  In 1985 a separate non-profit Visitor & Convention Bureau was established overseen by a volunteer board which 30 years later has evolved into Tourism Burlington Inc.  So we are celebrated our long history of supporting the local tourism industry and promoting our beautiful city in 2015 through various events and activities.

Tourism Burlington is designated as the city’s destination marketing and management organization. We work with local tourism partners to promote the city as a business and leisure travel destination through a variety of marketing initiatives. Burlington attracts tourists and visitors to annual festivals and events, community attractions with a regional and world-class appeal, as well as meetings and conventions. Tourism Burlington’s staff and volunteers welcome visitors daily at the Tourism Burlington Visitor Centre located at 414 Locust St.
