Mother’s Day 2017

by Linda Cvetanovic

Mom, Mother, Mama…they go by many names and on Sunday May 14th we’ll be honouring them all! As a mom to two children, I can tell you that I appreciate the effort that is put into making Mother’s Day special for me and I look forward to seeing what this year brings.  For those of you in the planning stages, here is our guide to what’s happening to celebrate Mother’s Day in Burlington.

Mother’s Day Tea

Get an early start with the Mother’s Day Tea on May 13th at Ireland House Museum.  Guests will enjoy premium teas from 3Teas and traditional accompaniments such as sandwiches, scones and sweets.  In celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, there will be a special Maple Black Tea blend featured.  Each sitting will also feature a reading over tea for each mom and a guided tour of the Museum.

There are three sittings available – 11:00 am, 1:00pm, or 3:00 pm and tickets must be purchased in advance.  This event is for guests 12 years and older.
