Moonglade – one night only

by Guest Writer

This one-night-only contemporary art festival happens at 7PM on September 16th and runs until midnight. Hosted jointly by No Vacancy Art and Art Gallery of Burlington, Moonglade is a showcase of contemporary installation art from a variety of artists all over Canada. We are proud to exhibit some exceptionally talented artists, many of whom show their work Internationally and have quite a career.

Art Gallery of Burlington - coast to coast to coast

Guests can start their evening in Brock Park where two art installations can be viewed and program brochures picked up. Brock Park will have a stage with live music featuring Bare Blue Sea, a beer garden featuring Collective Arts Beer, Nobilo and Vintage Ink wine and some awesome food trucks waiting to serve hungry art lovers.

Just outside the doors of the AGB will be the Moonglade Pop-Up art market, where you can buy maker goods and one-of-a-kind local art for one night only, including the art from the BDBA Walking Art Tour. If you participate in the Downtown Walking Art Tour you can save 20% on your purchase too!

Inside the AGB will be where the majority of the Moonglade art installations can be viewed. Enter studios, function rooms, and corridors which will be animated with installation art for the evening. You’ll see sculptures, mixed media, projection art, and performance artists. Also happening during Moonglade is the Fibre Content Show, which will be in its last weekend, and Art Etc will be open for the duration of the event.

To get a sense of the type of atmosphere you can expect, check out this video from last year’s Supernova event.

Hope to see you at the AGB on the 16th.
