James Anthony - Musician

James Anthony was born and raised in Etobicoke. At the age of 17, Anthony went on the road with The Cougers TCB, one of the first reggae bands in Canada led by Jay Douglas. Anthony went on to have a successful career in the music industry, sharing the stage with over 200 famous Blues, Country, Rock and Roll, and R&B performers. In 2013, Anthony was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame USA in Detroit. He currently resides in Burlington, operating Sound Investments Recording Studio and plays at local pubs.

My wife and her family are from Burlington.  This is where she grew up and went to school.  Our family moved here in 2001.  I love the friendly people and all the talented artists and musicians. I’ve also made a lot of close friends here. I am so lucky to have a huge following of music fans that come out every week to hear me play. After many years performing on the road I’m not moving anymore, I found our home here to stay in Burlington.
