Burlington’s Sport Event Hosting Resume
Burlington has hosted a variety of sporting events at all levels of play. Many of Burlington’s local sport organizations host annual hometown sport events that attract thousands of participants to the city. These include:
- Robbie Burns 8km Run ( Jan)
- Burlington BLAST Ringette Tournament (Jan)
- Oldtimers Invitational Hockey Tournament (Feb)
- Chilly Half Marathon and Frosty 5K (Mar) – attracting over 4,000 runners and walkers
- Around the Bay Race in Hamilton/Burlington (Mar)
- Good Friday Road Race (March or Apr)
- Burlington Spring Cup Invitational Gymnastics Meet (May) – Canada’s largest girls artistic and rhythmic gymnastics event in Canada
- Santa 5k Run (Nov) – Canada’s largest all Santa run
- Cogeco Golden Horseshoe Hockey Tournament (Dec) – featuring over 100 teams from North America and International
