The Easter Bunny is making a stop here in BurlON for all the fun activities that are going on. Spend time hunting for eggs at different Burlington locations or enjoying brunch with your family, there’s a variety of fun ways to celebrate Easter here in Burlington.

Locally Made Walker’s Chocolates

Start Easter off early by attending the Easter Open House visit at Walker’s Chocolates. On April 6 from 10 am to 3 pm, take a tour of the factory on Harvester Road, enjoy free samples and giveaways. Admission is free with a canned food donation.

Ireland House Museum- Sp’egg’tacular Easter Egg Event

Join the fun on Saturday April 13 from 11-3 at Ireland House Museum. Hunt the Easter egg trail for a golden egg and meet the Easter Bunny. Enjoy children’s entertainment, a petting zoo and Easter-themed games and crafts. Plus get a tour of the historic house.  Fun for the whole family!

Good Friday Run

On Friday April 19 is the 46th annual Good Friday Road Race at Aldershot High School. The day starts off with the 1 km Bunny Hop where kids can get their first experience racing. After this are the 5 km and 10 km races. The race is done by lunch time giving you plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend.

Step back in time at the Spruce Lane Farmhouse at Bronte Creek Provincial Park for a Victorian Easter. On Saturday April 20 there will be an egg hunt surrounding the farmhouse. Also, explore the traditions behind Victorian celebrations of Easter.

Who said Easter is just for humans? Dogs can have fun too! On Friday April 19, bring your furry, four-legged friend to Bronte Creek Provincial Park for the Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs. While dogs can’t eat chocolate, they certainly can still get treats! Thousands of eggs are hidden around the park with a dog treat and sticker inside. All proceeds go to the National Service Dogs. Register online until April 18.

Easter at Mountsberg

Head over to Mountsberg Conservation Area for the Easter Egg Extravaganza. There is a giant Easter Egg Hunt, face paint to transform kids into little bunnies, and an opportunity to meet farm animals in the barn yard. Before you leave get nose to beak with some Birds of Prey and watch them in action at a show.

From Friday to Sunday on Easter weekend our friends at Springridge Farm are having their annual Easter Festival. Spend the day hunting for eggs with the Easter Bunny, getting your face painted and colouring  bunny ears. There are also wagon rides and a tour of the farm, slides, straw bale jumping, and an escarpment lookout, as well as pony rides. And no visit is complete without a visit to their barn market with amazing gift items and baked goods.

Easter Egg-stravaganza at LaSalle Park

On Saturday April 20 from 10 am to noon enjoy inflatables, face painting, and a petting zoo at LaSalle Park at the Easter Egg-stravaganza. Bring your own Easter egg basket, because over 60,000 chocolate eggs are hidden around the park.

Celebrate Easter with brunch at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a delicious spread of breakfast food and take a stroll through the Gardens. SOLD OUT NOW!

On Easter Sunday enjoy a delicious brunch at Tyandaga Golf Course. There are two different seating times at 11 am and 1 pm. Visit their website for reservation information.

The Holiday Inn Burlington Hotel is also offering a special Easter brunch with a 1 pm seating. Contact them directly to make reservations.
