#BurlON til April 24
We’re about midway through April and it’s warming up here in #BurlON so it’s the perfect time to explore the outdoors! Hike through the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens or join the frogwatchers hike at Mountsberg Conservation Park. There are many things happening this weekend to celebrate Easter so check out our list of things to do in #BurlON for this week.
Everyone is celebrating Easter in #BurlON. Get your baskets out and go for an Easter egg hunt at Bronte Creek Provincial Park, Mountsberg Conservation Area, LaSalle Park or Springridge Farm for a chance to even meet the Easter Bunny! These events are happening April 19 – 21 so you have time to see all four! Enjoy children’s entertainment, a petting zoo and Easter-themed games and crafts. Fun for the whole family! And if by the end of the weekend you’re still looking for more Easter fun, then pop into RBG for relaxing but rewarding Easter Brunch (spaces are limited register online in advance). Visit Easter in #BurlON blog for full easter weekend fun.
Explore the Outdoors
Get outside and enjoy spring here in #BurlON. Visit Crawford Lake and tour the Iroquoian village, or explore the trail and look out for some of the diverse species who make their home here in southern Ontario. Searching for those vocal green hopping creatures? Visit the Mountsberg to join the Frogwatchers Hike and learn more about frogs, toads, and even elusive salamanders.
The Royal Botanical Gardens are inviting you to plant a tree in Cootes Paradise. Help increase the green on Saturday April 20 in celebration of Earth Day by planting a tree. Don’t want to get too muddy but still want to spend Earth Day outside? Then head out for a stroll in the gardens or visit local parks. Visit Conservation Halton’s website for information and to see which one of the many beautiful trails here in #BurlON is right for you.
Enjoy the Arts
Starting April 20 the Art Gallery of Burlington is hosting All Guilds Show, Lore: Myths, Legends, and other Stories. Pop in to view the annual exhibition celebrated by members from guilds.
Every Sunday there is an open studio for families to enjoy. Admission is always free so make sure you stop by to check out the wide collection of ceramics and other works of art and get creative.
