Events

Annual General Meeting -  The AGM  provides an opportunity for partners to meet our Board of Directors, learn about past successes and discuss plans for the upcoming year. The Tourism AGM is scheduled in late May each year.

Go Green Workshop - This event was held on February 12, 2009.  Future workshops may be offered if there is sufficient interest. Contact us.  Refer to resource information for tools and tips.

Business Summit - Each year we host a Business Summit with our Team Burlington partners where high profile keynote speakers discuss the latest trends and provide sound business advice.

National Tourism Week - Working with our partners, we build awareness of the importance of tourism to our area. We also encourage residents to Be a Tourist in Your own Town by visiting local attractions, events, etc.

Partners Meetings - Held periodically these meetings provide an opportunity for partners to learn about industry updates, marketing initiatives, events and network with fellow partners in the tourism business.

Training

Industry Ambassador Training - We annually offer a session for front line staff or new employees to learn about local attractions, accommodations, events and future plans that will be of interest to our visitors.

Joint Training Sessions - We also work with Team Burlington members, other DMO's and the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) to host training such as Lunch n'Learn sessions, Tourism Tools and Tourism Keys Workshops.

Give 'em a Pickle - Pickles are those special or extra things people do to make customers happy. Tourism Burlington uses the video Give 'em a Pickle in training sessions and recognizes local staff who have done special things for customers.
