Insiders Golfing in #BurlON

by Guest Writer

With great golfing weather (from April to November) and superb scenery, the Burlington area has plenty to offer golf enthusiasts in addition to some spectacular golf courses. It can be difficult to know which course to play if you don’t know the area and visiting for a few days or are a local resident. I’ll admit I’m not a golfer, so when I was assigned to write this blog, I saw it as a great opportunity to become more familiar with golf courses in the area. I did some research and asked various golf clubs about their courses which I hope will be a helpful resource for you on where to golf.  This gave the golf courses an opportunity to share little known information about their business and also do a little bit of boasting.  In the process, I’ve become motivated to learn how to golf and look forward to playing some of the local courses. Don’t expect me to be at the Canadian Open any time soon, though. But hey, you have to start somewhere!

This insiders view of golf in Burlington has information at a glance on the local courses including what makes their golf course unique, what famous people have played their course as well as their most challenging hole, special packages and offers and interesting facts.

I tried to contact the other golf courses in Burlington; however I was unable to reach everyone in time to include in this blog. Thank you to all the golf courses mentioned in this blog for providing me with the necessary information. Judging by the photos of the different courses, it’s safe to say I’m in for a treat when I do pick up some lessons and begin playing local courses.
