Places of Worship

Burlington and it's surrounding area has a number of places of worship who welcome visitors to join them for their services and special events.  Eight of the local churches have been built in the 1800's and some are open during the week for prayer and reflection.  We suggest you contact the church you are interested in to confirm hours and other details.

Cemeteries

There are 25 cemeteries located in the Burlington area.  Many of these cemeteries are an interesting part of the history of Burlington. In north Burlington, there are several cemeteries that once belonged to pioneer families that inhabited the area. These families would all be buried together on their land. They were often associated with churches that were established by the surrounding families. The list of these cemeteries includes:

  • Deforest Cemetery
  • Colling Pioneer Cemetery
  • Salem Cemetary
  • Kilbride Presbyterian Cemetery
  • Kilbride United Cemetery
  • Campbell  - Davidson Cemetery
  • Bradt Cemetery
